For midsize truck buyers with the highest expectations for their next vehicle, the next-generation Chevrolet Colorado leaves nothing to be desired. This truck continues to be available exclusively with a 5-foot bed and a four-door crew cab design. However, the exterior is completely redesigned to show off its confident capabilities and modern appeal. It boasts practical ground clearance, a tall cabin, and a slightly curved nose. Both the sides and slanted hood are rigorously defined. At the front of the Colorado, the wide, molded grille is styled with horizontal bars. The rectangular headlights sit above dark air tanks with small foglights on the grille's flanks. Some or all 2023 Colorado trims have exterior gear like a sliding rear window, an EZ-Lift tailgate, StowFlex, a remote-locking tailgate, heated exterior mirrors, a 120-volt power outlet in the bed, all-terrain or mud tires, and several other features.
Inside, the redesigned cabin is styled with a tall, layered dashboard that features a digital instrument display screen linked to a central display screen. Each 2023 Chevrolet Colorado is well-outfitted with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a rear camera with hitch guidance, a push-button ignition, lane departure mitigation, and auto emergency braking. Higher Colorado trims and optional packages may add wireless smartphone charging, heated front seats, an auto-dimming rear mirror, multiple USB ports, a 120-volt power outlet in the rear row, driver's memory settings, and more.
All five of the trims for the 2023 Chevy Colorado draw power from a four-cylinder, 2.7-liter turbo engine. This engine is available with three output levels. The Turbo produces 237 horsepower, and the Turbo Plus yields 310 horsepower. The Turbo High-Output also offers 310 horsepower but has a higher torque rating. All 2023 Colorado trims come with an eight-speed auto transmission. The first two trims have a two-wheel drivetrain, and the other trims have four-wheel drive. Some trims and optional packages also give you a towing and hauling mode, a locking differential, a trailer brake controller, skid plates, an upgraded suspension system, DSSV dampers, and other equipment.
